Description:

A Behavior Technician provides 1:1 behavioral intervention services to children with special needs and support to their families. Behavior Technicians are responsible for implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) based programs as directed the Board Certified Behavior Analyst/Case Supervisor.

Responsible for implementation of skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans developed through working directly with clients in a one on one or group setting, collect and record data, create and maintain materials, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Must be good with children with special needs.

Duties:

1. Completes a BACB approved RBT course and keeps registration to the BACB current.

2. Assists the BCBA in implementing behavioral programming in a 1:1 setting.

3. Collects data on all programming and writes progress notes.

4. Advises and consults with the family and other agency personnel.

5. With the BCBA, instructs patients and family/significant others in-home programs and protocols.

6. Maintains current CPR certification.

7. Currently an RBT or a commitment to become certified as a Registered Behavior Technician.

8. BLS/ CPR Certification or willingness to achieve certification. Must be in a Face-to-face format.

9. Reliable transportation and insurance.

10. Willingness to travel to and from clients' homes within 30-45 minutes of your location.

11. Strong computer and technology skills and reliable internet connection for data input.

12. Availability for part-time assignments. Variable hours are available, but the emphasis is on after school (3:00 pm – 8:00 pm) hours. Services provided during school hours may be needed depending on the case.

13. Pass a criminal and driving background check
